ADDITIONAL MANDATORY RULES FOR USE OF AML

  1. Before starting any processing in AML, talk to Dr. Srinivas Mantri (AML senior staff) either in person or via email and discuss with him in detail regarding the depositions. Do not start your depositions before this, else your access to the AML might be revoked!
  2. Once you think you have finished your depositions, make sure to clean out the powders from the system and leave the machine in the state you found it in.
  3. Keep track of how many substrates have been used, and what are the substrate materials, so that AML staff can keep track of them.
  4. Keep a tab on the use of brushes (for the Aconity system), and what materials they are, so that AML staff can keep a track.
  5. Keep a tab of argon cylinders used and keep Dr. Srinivas Mantri informed if you are nearing exhausting a 6-pack of Ar cylinders. Please let Dr. Mantri know if you are planning to order a new pack of Ar cylinders from Tony.
  6. Return any tools that you used for the AM processes to their exact original locations.
  7. If you encounter any problem with the equipment, immediately stop the experiment, and report the issue to AML staff.
